A rare and particularly finely made ornamental lathe of c1845 by the scientific instrument maker Kennan & Sons of Fishamble St, Dublin.
This exciting ‘barn find’ of an original and very high quality lathe is shown in untouched condition and is complete with many additional parts not shown (including mahogany boxed ‘rose engine’ and other tooling). Oak and wrought iron frame, treadle operated, complete with a large collection of attachments, tools and cutting equipment, plus a side mounted drill.

A large pumping station instrument for measuringand recording water flow over time.
The cast pedestal incorportes mercury chambers for measuring water using the Venturi principle. Glass cabinet houses a brass clock movement with pendulum regulation, along with a gallons indicator and recording drum for daily and weekly diagrams.
An unusual and impressive instrument.
In very nice, original condition.
