“SUPER” SENTINEL Timber Tractor
Sentinel “Two Speed” Timber Tractor
Works No.6426, Built 1926.
This rare timber tractor is thought to be the model displayed at the Sydney Agricultural Show of 1926.
It was purchased by the present owner in 2006 as a rolling chassis and repatriated to the UK.
The tractor, which has the two cylinder “Super” engine was then subjected to a thorough four year restoration. When the engine was stripped down, it was found to be in almost as new condition, as was the boiler – which again indicated that the machine had one little work.
The current owner has completed the superb restoration using “Sentinel” works drawings and it is presented to a very high standard.
This very unusual historic vehicle has a turn of speed of around 15 mph and is now for sale with a current boiler certificate.
