This very nice lathe is by the Britannia Lathe and Oil Engine Company of Colchester, Essex and made around 1880. A large pumping station instrument for measuring and recording water flow over time.
On a cast iron pedestal the meter sits with in a cast iron framed glass cabinet. Brass clock and dials indicate gallons of water pumped over time, with the recording drum printing daily and weekly diagrams.
An unusual and impressive instrument, for sale in very nice, original condition.
