This USA made hit and miss petrol engine is the smallest of the range at 1 HP and believed to be pre 1914. Made FOR John Deere, before they bought R.&V. Out as a whole business.
In restored condition including refurbished igniter, new crank guard, new silencer. New parts to correct pattern, original oiler fitted.
Moteurs de Ville / AMANCO petrol engine
A French made engine, originally imported to the UK by the British Amanco company.

Recently restored, including a new radiator core.The correct, rare French made ” Lavalette ” Bosch magneto is still fitted. Mounted on substantial trolley with cast iron wheels and suitable for use / exhibition with a stationary engine.
Included images show original home market French version, where it was marketed under its manufacturers name, Moteurs De Ville.

A water cooled example of an open crank I.C. engine, made c1904 by the British Engineering and Electrical Company of Leek, Staffs.
Approx 1/3 HP
With later chain driven magneto (replacing the hot tube ignition), and fitted with twin S-spoked flywheels.
Mounted on a 2 wheel trolley inscibed “B E & E”.
A rare survivor.
